Nurse Navigator – Nhaji Urrutia

Our nurse navigator is here to conduct phone follow-ups with colorectal cancer patients as an additional measure to ensure patients are getting appropriate follow-up (e.g., scans, tests, scopes, etc.) for their cancer. 

Though the exact position has changed since its inception, it was initially created as part of a larger initiative, which won a Patient Safety and Quality Award in 2013, to help improve patient outcomes after surgeries.
